1. Introduction
Breeze VPN ("we", "us", or "our") provides a WireGuard-based VPN service through the Breeze VPN Android application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service:
- Account data: If you register with an email address, we store your email and a hashed password. Anonymous accounts require no personal information.
- Device identifier: A one-way SHA-256 hash of your Android device ID is used to associate an anonymous account with a device, preventing quota abuse. This hash cannot be reversed to identify you.
- Connection logs: We store aggregate bandwidth usage (bytes transferred) per session and per day to enforce the free-tier limit. We do not log your browsing history, DNS queries, or the content of your traffic.
- IP address: Your real IP address is used only to route the WireGuard tunnel. It is not stored in logs.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Providing and operating the VPN service
- Enforcing the free-tier daily bandwidth limit (200 MB/day)
- Sending password reset emails (registered users only)
- Detecting abuse or policy violations
4. Data Retention
- Anonymous accounts and their usage data are retained until you delete the app.
- Registered accounts are retained until you request deletion.
- Connection session records are retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data only:
- With infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN) strictly to operate the service
- When required by law or valid legal process
6. Security
All traffic between the app and our API servers is encrypted via TLS (HTTPS). VPN traffic is encrypted end-to-end using the WireGuard protocol (ChaCha20-Poly1305). Credentials stored on your device are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using Android Keystore hardware-backed keys.
7. Children's Privacy
Breeze VPN is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of data we hold about you.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Correction: Update your email address through the app.

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
